Dr. Silvers was born and raised in Iran. Shortly after finishing high school in August of 1984, he left Iran to come to the United States. He arrived in New York City and lived there for twelve years. Dr. Silvers attended Yeshiva University and obtained his undergraduate degree in 1989. He then pursued a medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and graduated in 1993.
Dr. Silvers did his dermatology residency at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center and Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital from 1994 to 1997. During this time, he changed his name from "Jack Hakimian" to "Jack Hakimian Silvers." In 1997 Dr. Silvers moved to California.
He is a board certified dermatologist and practices five days a week.
